Lick Breakdowns, Gypsy Triplet Run.
Hey, it's time for another lick breakdown.
This time a fast triplet
run in the key of A flat.
One of my own licks.
It was requested by Ollie,
one of our talented students at the AGU.
So, here we go.
We start on 9th position with third
third finger, fourth string, play C.
[SOUND] Let the pick fall where the sweep,
like a, like a sweep here for
over four strings.
So we go.
[SOUND] To E flat,
8th position third string.
[SOUND] A flat 9th position second string.
And, [SOUND] and C.
[SOUND]
Then I start over here.
I, after these four [SOUND] pick stroke,
I start with a downstroke.
[SOUND] 'Cause it's gypsy picking.
So.
[MUSIC]
So then we go chromatically,
you can choose, [SOUND] if you
want to play fourth string here.
[SOUND] I, I, slide I don't slide but
I use the third here eight.
[SOUND] 8 E flat.
[SOUND] D 3rd 2nd.
[SOUND] First finger on D flat and
then and move this finger, so.
[MUSIC]
So down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[MUSIC]
Now continue.
[SOUND] Same thing,
I'm using the same fingering.
[SOUND] B Flat.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] A, up.
[SOUND] A Flat, down.
[SOUND] G, up.
[MUSIC]
Then I [SOUND] play.
A-flat again.
[SOUND] D.
[SOUND]
Second and first fingers.
So.
[MUSIC]
I'm moving this finger.
[MUSIC]
First, so I play G flat.
[SOUND] And F.
[SOUND] So.
[MUSIC]
Then third finger on.
[SOUND] E flat, chromatically D.
[SOUND] D flat, and C.
[SOUND] So I'm moving this.
[SOUND] Third.
[SOUND] Second.
[SOUND] First.
[SOUND] First finger.
[SOUND] E flat.
[SOUND] D.
D flat.
[SOUND] C.
[MUSIC]
B flat.
[SOUND] A.
[SOUND] Same fingering.
A flat, then G.
[MUSIC]
So all the all the time here we go down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down up down up
down up down up down up.
He would have F [SOUND] and E flat.
[MUSIC]
You can use the fourth finger if you like.
[MUSIC]
Or if you only,
you only want to do with the third third.
[SOUND] F.
[SOUND] E flat.
[SOUND] D Flat.
[SOUND] C.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[SOUND] Down.
[SOUND] Up.
[MUSIC]
D flat.
[SOUND] C.
[SOUND] D flat.
[SOUND] C.
[SOUND] B flat.
[SOUND] A flat.
[SOUND] And now it's time for
an A flat sweeping arpeggio.
[MUSIC]
So this was [SOUND] down on C.
[SOUND] Down on E flat.
On the fifth string 6th position.
[SOUND] Four string 6th position.
[SOUND] Third string, 5th position.
C, so.
[MUSIC]
And I slide up here [SOUND] or move.
[SOUND] Up on E flat.
[SOUND] Down on E flat.
[SOUND] Down on C and
up [SOUND] on E flat.
Sorry.
[SOUND] This is A flat, of course.
[SOUND] E flat.
[SOUND] A flat.
[SOUND] C.
[SOUND] And D flat.
[SOUND] So slowly, it's.
[MUSIC]
