A little bit of Ireland Summer here; Darol, Anger's unlisted 7-part YouTube interview with the incredible Irish fiddler Adam Agee is now available exclusively to Artistworks Fiddle students.

Irish-style fiddling, like Ireland, is full of amazing twists, turns, and back roads leading to unexpected, highly detailed vistas. This is an interview with one of the most interesting Irish fiddlers out there: Adam Agee. Adam grew up in America, and his choice to pursue Irish traditional music arose purely from a his love for, and resonance with, the Irish sound.
Over decades, at Alasdair Fraser's Valley of the Moon fiddle camp and at various workshops in America and Ireland, Adam has studied with many of today's greatest living tradition-bearers, such as Martin Hayes, Liz Carroll, and others. Adam's devotion to detail make him an ideal instructor of this style, and you can see in these videos how he approaches an authentic Irish fiddle sound. Darol and Adam geek out on slides, cuts, rolls, trills, and other musical emements of this amazing fiddle style.

These videos were shot outdoors in the aftermath of Colorado's famed Rockygrass Festival, and the lighting and sound are not always perfect, so we're making it available as an unlisted series only for Artistworks Fiddle School students.
