In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

[MUSIC]
So
we're going to break down this juggle in
here, right.
This is an easy way to do like to double
up beats.
So, you've got head note right over here,
right?
[MUSIC]
So it's one, two, right, so
the snare would be two.
This two is right here.
Whatever.
[MUSIC]
4 o'clock.
3 o'clock.
5 o'clock.
Oh, there it goes 5 o'clock right.
So this you've got 12 o'clock.
[MUSIC]
One, two.
So to double up a beat, is you have
another beat, or snare over here.
Let's try this snare over here.
[MUSIC]
So you've got the same snare,
same spot as this record right.
[MUSIC]
So
he's gonna put that snare 1/16th before
this one and after this one.
So it's gonna go blam tch, tch, tch,
right?
Blam, tch, tch, tch.
So let's try it right now.
Ready?
Let's do it in slow motion.
I'm gonna.
[MUSIC]
I'm gonna play the beat first.
[MUSIC]
Dang, he already got it!
He already knew.
That's why he's the king.
Juggle.
So yeah, I'm gonna just leave you to more
shortcut.
And yeah.
