In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

Gonna do a class on bubbles.
As you can see, the screen behind me where
in a bubble cavern and
should mahe L dog work, [LAUGH] Now we're
in space.
Now we're in the desert.
[MUSIC]
Now we're in a fish tank.
No I'm just kidding.
Hey, can you do all that though?
while I'm saying.
[MUSIC]
Anyway [LAUGH] all right let's go back to
the bubbles.
[MUSIC]
All right [LAUGH]
[MUSIC]
Circus, desert, outer space.
[MUSIC]
Clown studio.
[MUSIC]
Okay we're gonna do bubbles,
it's really simple.
I would, you don't even really have to do
a class on this, but it's just pausing.
[SOUND]
And that's a bubble scratch, right?
[SOUND]
[MUSIC]
And then if you wanna do a bubble
backwards, you really can't because the
record's pushing forward.
So the only way to do a bubble backwards
is, I guess, turn it off and, ugh,
spin the see how the platters.
Spinning under the record, go like that
and then just do a bubble backwards.
[SOUND]
[MUSIC]
All right, but
who's gonna do that when you could just go
[SOUND]?
A tear pretty much sounds like bubbles.
[SOUND] Or a snake, sidewinder.
[MUSIC]
[SOUND]
Anyway, so that's what it is,
basically just tapping the record and
making a bubble sound.
All right?
