About Hugh Sung:
Hugh Sung is a classically-trained pianist based in the Philadelphia area. He has performed with several major orchestras and has been on the faculty of The Curtis Institute of Music for over 19 years. In 2009, Hugh came up with the crazy idea that anyone could learn to play one of the most difficult masterpieces for the piano: “Clair de Lune” by Claude Debussy. Piano teachers roundly dismissed his YouTube video series as being impossible to accomplish - meanwhile, thousands of ordinary folks all over the world realized their dreams of playing the piano, thanks to Hugh’s videos, proving time and time again that anyone could truly learn to how to play piano and have a great time in the process. We are honored to have him on board as our latest ArtistWorks instructor.
