Psalms: Hyssop & Snow

My new CD is almost here! "Psalms: Hyssop & Snow" will feature 23 tracks of all-original settings from the Book of Psalms and great Hymn texts. While I've recorded many albums as a collaborative pianist, this is the first project featuring all of my own compositions - how exciting! We're getting an initial batch of 100 copies rushed in time for my recital in Santa Maria, California tonight. This will give us a chance to make sure everything sounds and looks ok before the final production run. As soon as the CD is available to the public, I'll be sure to post an announcement. In the meantime, check out this pre-mastered version of Psalm 1 as a preview, featuring Greg Wiggins on vocals, Maurice Sklar as violin soloist, Eric Uglum on mandolin and guitar, a lovely string quartet, the choir at the Healing Rooms of Santa Maria, and yours truly on the piano :) Enjoy!!

Darol Anger's new Bluegrass-flavored recording is almost here! It's his first Bluegrass fiddle record since the second Psychograss CD (Like Minds), made almost 13 years ago. It's called E-and'a, after the way musicians count beats: One-e-and'a, Two-e-and'a, and so on. Where do you find your groove? look in the "E-and'a" section of your local bar!
