Hi ADA, thanks so much for responding! :-) I've send a video week ago and I'm very much looking forward to Ricardo's feedback. :-)

Welcome aboard Mariko! It of course depends on some different factors but it usually takes anywhere from 1-3 weeks to receive a response video. It's always worth it, submit a video as soon as you can!

Hi there, happy to be here. I just signed up today and am going through the videos. I would love to make a video. How long does it usually take to receive a feedback video?

Hey all! What is your favorite lesson that Ricardo has given?

Hi all! I'm a saxophone instructor venturing into the clarinet world. I have a few questions: My clarinet's keys are rusty (from underuse!) What's the best way to clean them? Do the corks in between joints need cork grease and if so is it the same as a saxophone neck's cork? If you are out of tune, I'm guessing you can lower the pitch by pulling the mouthpiece out but how would you raise your pitch if you're flat? Thanks everyone!

Hello Leah, the etudes are purchased separately. You can find the Rose and Baermann etudes in book collections online at places like Amazon or Sheet Music Plus.

where are the materials for the etudes? I find sheet music under "study materials->additional materials" but no etudes. Do I have to find them elsewhere and purchase them separately?

At what tempo should I play the JB Albert scales so I can feel ready to move on? Should I play all exercises on the page at the same tempo? The sevenths would be quite fast but the triplets would be slow. Right now, I'm working on 80 bpm. Chuck Califf

Hello Antonio!

Hi, I'm a new student of this school, greetings maestro Ricardo Morales.

Is Ricardo still reviewing videos? Where do we get the music for the etudes?

Hi Ricardo. Is it correct that there are only 3 etudes innthe section (#11, #18 and #19)?

How long do I need to wait for my video to be reviewed?

My video I uploaded was corrupted. How do I re upload or can Ricardo still review it?

Hi Ricardo I posted a question and video for you to review. Looking forward to your comments. Thanks!

Hello Everyone. Can anyone help me know where to start? I'm looking at some of the lessons so far. Then what?

Hello everyone! Where are the study materials for beginner? :-(

Versatile, Multi-Genre Training

Multi-genre, Versatile TrainingWhen it comes to studying music, it is only logical to delve into the style in which you predominantly play or prefer to listen to. I like to call this the “genre comfort zone” a place where you can flourish in your musicianship or become incredibly stagnant and uninspired in a drop of a hat. The bright side of this so called, “GCZ,” is that if you stick with a genre that you are familiar with, one that excites you, then you better your chances of actually picking up your instrument to practice. However, if you pigeon hole yourself into playing one specific type of music, you could find yourself quickly becoming bored and uninspired over time.
