Learn Classical Piano with Christie Peery

“This is a very thorough piano course. Maybe too thorough for someone who already knows music theory. This would be a very good course for starting small children with piano lessons and in fact she does use childrens books that are designed to ground children from the start in how scales work. I dont have a problem with the fact that you have to buy piano books outside the course considering this course is meant for many years of practice and covers the basics to difficult classical pieces. I do have a problem with the idea that the books she uses for difficult classical pieces change every year so that some of the pieces are no longer in the books. Christie says in the comments that you can find some of these pieces on youtube, but still its a big let down to me that not all the music is immediately available. So for that reason I have to give 4 stars instead of 5. The availability of classical pieces is an issue I run into a lot in classical music course. Music made over 200 years ago is in the public domain from what Ive heard. So these copyright issues are something that needs to be standardized across all courses.”
