Each ArtistWorks piano school is run by a single master teacher — from Christie Peery and Zachary Deak in classical to Hugh Sung in popular piano and GRAMMY® winner Matt Rollings in country. When you join a school you get that teacher's full library of video lessons, their structured curriculum and, as a Premium subscriber at schools that offer it, personal video feedback on your own playing.

Less than one private lesson. A single ArtistWorks membership gives you unlimited access to your chosen piano school, every video lesson in it, to watch and practice as often as you like — and Premium plans add Video Exchange® with your teacher at schools that offer it. Plans are billed monthly or annually, and every new student starts with a 7-day free trial.

Yes. Every school starts with posture, finding your way around the keyboard and reading simple notes before moving into full pieces. Many ArtistWorks piano students begin as adults, and video lessons let you replay any passage as often as you need.

Most adult beginners play simple pieces with both hands within two to three months of regular practice. Reaching an intermediate level — reading comfortably, playing with expression and tackling longer pieces — usually takes one to two years. Twenty to thirty minutes of focused daily practice beats occasional long sessions.

Yes. A digital piano or keyboard with 88 full-size weighted keys and a sustain pedal is a great way to start, and lets you practice with headphones. A smaller unweighted keyboard works for the first few months, but weighted keys build the finger strength and control you'll need on an acoustic piano.

No — you'll learn as you go. Reading is part of the structured path in most schools, and lessons pair notation with close-up video of the keys so you can see exactly what to play. Popular and country piano also teach chord-based playing by ear.

Yes — you can subscribe to as many schools as you like. Each teacher's curriculum and lesson library is entirely their own, so many students pair classical technique with a popular or country school. Every school includes a 7-day free trial, so you can look inside any piano school before you commit.
