[MUSIC]
This is Habits Level 1, Muscular Lesson 6.
[SOUND]
First do Muscle Builders, right hand.
Same notes as Lesson 5.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax.
[SOUND]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax.
And going on up the keyboard until your
right-hand thumb ends on
the C above the C you started with.
So, on high C.
Left hand.
And again,
shifting your hand all the way up until
your left-hand finger five is on middle C.
We're going to do that same repetition now
this week in Power Fingers.
It will look like this.
[MUSIC]
See how all my fingers are keeping very
close to the key?
I have a slight bounce in my wrist because
I'm pushing down with my arms.
That's how I'm getting my loud sound.
[MUSIC]
And
continuing on up until your right-hand is,
thumb is in on high C.
Left hand, Power Fingers.
[MUSIC]
Keep an eye on your second finger, this
one.
[MUSIC]
This is the one most likely to come up
in the air.
This is a no no.
[MUSIC]
If you focus on keeping the two down,
the rest of them will probably stay down.
[MUSIC]
And keep going up until your fifth finger,
finger five in left hand, is on middle C.
So, for your practice sheet this week,
you're going to write that you're doing
Muscle Builders, right hand.
And you do that as many keys as you can
for that day,
whether it's just C, D and E or all the
way up from C to C.
And then Muscle Builders, left hand, as
many keys as you can do well.
And also make a place on your practice
sheet for Power Fingers, right hand.
Again, do as many keys as you can do well
from C to C and then Power Fingers,
left hand.
The metronome, if you're able to get it
with a metronome, at this point,
is metronome 66.
