This
is Peery Habits Level 2, Muscular Lesson
Number 3.
Our skip is changing again this week, and
our speed is going up.
Practice hands together one time muscle
builders every day,
C to C, one time power fingers every day,
C to C.
Lets go through the muscle builders first.
We're going to skip between fingers three
and four in right hand.
Three and two in left hand.
Muscle builders.
Remember no hand on middle C.
Don't want their shoulder coming up.
So hand above middle C.
Here we go.
Ready, go.
[MUSIC]
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax, skip, straight up.
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax, straight up.
Down curve, relax.
Straight up.
Down curve.
Make sure you're lifting from that back
knuckle.
That you're not lifting up like this.
Or that you're just forgetting about your
lift.
Lift straight up as high as you can.
My four can go to the side.
Five to four can always go to the side.
Here comes the in left hand.
Now I'm going to relax.
Straight up.
See how I life that right there?
To the side there's a four doesn't lift
very high on it's own.
Straight up, down curve, relax.
Straight up, down curve, relax.
Straight up.
Keep your eyes on your fingers.
Don't be wondering around like this.
Right?
Eyes on your fingers watching your
position all the time.
Skip.
Down curve, relax.
OK?
You keep going to see.
And now lets demonstrate the power fingers
skipping between the same fingers.
Ready go.
Watch that you're two and right hand
doesn't come up, when you do the skip.
And the fifth finger too.
Don't let it curl up.
Teach your fingers to play relaxed and on
the keys.
Loosen the wrists, getting the weight from
the arm.
That's why I'm playing so loudly.
It's not because I'm lifting my fingers.
From using from my shoulder all the way
down.
[MUSIC]
Okay that's it.
Practice that for five days this week, and
then you'll be ready for
muscular lesson four.
Set your metronome to ninety two.
If you want to send a video in so I can
check your hands together work,
that would be great.
I would love to see how you're doing on
this.
