This
is Peery habits level 3, muscular lesson
number 8.
On your practice chart this week you're
going to be practicing Junior Hannen
number three, lines one and two, and this
will be at metronome 112.
You're trying to get this mastered this
week.
So you need to practice every day one time
muscle builders and
one time power fingers.
You'll also be practicing hand over hand,
continue to practice the D major and
the D minor by finger patterns.
And we'll add a new one, A major and A
minor five finger pattern,
which I'll demonstrate in just a second.
Those will be at metronome 138.
Now if you have not sent in a video yet on
your arpeggios.
Or if you sent in a video and I gave you
some things to improve.
You should either not continue on in these
muscular lessons until you want to pass
them, and get Peery certified, or you
should continue to be practicing
your arpeggios, working towards your Peery
certification, okay?
So, wherever you are is great,
just make sure that if you haven't passed
your arpeggios,
you continue to practice them, and put
those on your practice chart as well.
So let's go through Junior Hanon line
number three, lines one and two,
at metronome 112.
That's our final.
I've demonstrated the pattern for power
fingers last lesson.
Let me just go through and do muscle
builders, so you can see how it looks and
give you a refresher.
Case you're missing anything in your hand
position for muscle builders.
I'm going to do it with two ticks per
note.
Here we go.

So we're going straight up in the air.
Relaxing immediately when I drop down to
the key.
[MUSIC]
Now, we know we can twist that first one,.
[MUSIC]
But don't continue to twist after that.
[MUSIC]
See how I'm relaxing right away,
immediately into the key.
[MUSIC]
Don't stay under.
[MUSIC]
Our final pattern.
Now we're going to end of G.
Okay, so your goal is to look just like
that by the end of this week.
And then our new hand over hand the A
major and the A minor,
let's go through that as well.
[SOUND] Five finger pattern, A major, at
138.
So here was our chord.
We're gonna add the white notes around it,
following the whole step, whole step, half
step, whole step.
Getting all five fingers on the key at
once.
Here we go.
Ready, go.

Let's do minor,
just change that middle black key down to
a white key, easy.
Ready, go.

Okay, so that's it for muscular eight.
When you've practiced five days and have
mastered all of these items,
you're ready to go on to muscular number
nine.
