This etude
is in F minor.
It's with the Bahial style, which is
a rhythm from the North of Brazil,
from Bahia and it's an African rhythm and
it has a sound,
if you count it one, two,
three, four, it goes.
[SOUND] So it seems to be traveling
twice as fast as a quarter note.
The quarter note here is one, two, three,
four, but the rhythm is kinda saying.
[SOUND] So
remember to feel that pulse one,
two, three, four, next bar.
Even though the rhythm is traveling
in what we call a double time feel.
It sounds like the rhythm is traveling
twice as fast as our little quarter note.
So that's one thing to be aware of.
And second thing is I'm gonna play
the melody the first time straight.
Second time,
I'll play the melody a little embellished.
And then, I'll play a bass line in
that Bahian style for the third time.
