When I started singing and playing,
my real motivation was
to write my own songs,
and so I'm gonna ask you to write a song.
It doesn't have to be long,
doesn't have to be amazing.
But I just want you to
start giving it a shot,
and if you got something that you want to
share, I'd be happy to give you feedback.
I can help you with coordination,
or just general arrangement ideas.
I think it would be really great to
dive down this creative road with you.
And work on singing while
playing original songs.
I do also wanna hear cover songs.
The downside of only singing
songs that you write,
is that they're less likely
to train your voice, and
so it's really helpful to learn
cover songs in any sort of style.
Just pick a song that you love, and if you
can start to imitate a singer you love or
a song you love, that's gonna actually
really help develop your voice and
will give you even more options
when you write your own songs.
So, whether it's a cover song,
maybe it's, You Are my Sunshine, or
maybe it's the new Justin Timberlake song.
I'm good to hear all of it, and
I would love to see if I can help you
with any sort of coordination ideas.
Maybe working on some
of the rhythmic ideas.
And also just helping craft a really
captivating arrangement of your song.
And I can't wait to hear it, so send
me your videos of covers or originals.
