In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

[MUSIC]
That's the Aquaman scratch.
What it is,
is kind of the same movements as an orbit
except different on the record hand.
But same movements on the fader because
it's just two clicks.
Starting with the fader open.
And ending open.
[SOUND] Just like a orbit right?
[SOUND] That's a orbit.
[SOUND]
Get that.
So the record on the orbit is going
[SOUND]
and the Aquaman.
[MUSIC]
So three notes.
[SOUND] And then back.
[SOUND] So three notes and three notes
back in.
[SOUND] So without the fader it's.
[SOUND] You know one, two, three, so it's
forward, backward, forward and
then the opposite backward, forward,
backward.
[MUSIC]
With the three notes.
So if it's three notes just like with the
orbit you're gonna do the two clicks right
there, so that's a forward, backward,
forward.
Or backward, forward, backward.
And you put the two clicks right there.
[MUSIC]
Right?
[MUSIC]
Right there.
[MUSIC]
Forward.
Backward.
[MUSIC]
And that's the Aquaman scratch.
So refer back to the orbit scratch if you
kind of don't get it.
But that's what it is.
Open fader ends in open, ends in,
ends open and begins open.
[SOUND] Or begins open and ends open.
[SOUND]
Once again, slow motion.
[SOUND]
And back again.
[SOUND]
Alright.
That's Aquaman.
