In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

[MUSIC]
Oh, we're back.
We're gonna get into some clover tears
now.
This is like tears.
I'll explain, but it's just two forward
and two back.
[MUSIC]
Two back.
[SOUND] All right.
Two forward.
[SOUND] Two back.
[SOUND]
Another clover tear right?
So once again, two forward tears.
[SOUND] And two back.
[MUSIC]
You can do stuff on the fader and
transform those.
[SOUND]
You can do the crab over a fast one.
[SOUND]
Two floats that.
Trying to get it really smooth too.
See not as jerky like.
[MUSIC]
You can have em jerky too, right, but
you can have them nice and smooth so it
sounds more bubbly.
Depends on what your preference is on how
you want it to sound.
And after a while you'll get, you get used
to it.
If you start off slow.
Always do it slow.
That's another trick to these scratches.
To learn them you gotta do them really
slow.
You know, you gotta be really patient.
But, you know, with practice and patience,
you know, you'll be rewarded,
so just keep doing that.
So once again.
Two forward.
[MUSIC] Two back.
[MUSIC]
That's four notes.
I think.
Yeah.
[MUSIC]
That's what I'm doing whenever you hear me
do those fades.
I love doing those clover tears.
[MUSIC]
And those are clovers.
