In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

[MUSIC]
All right so
you wanna get your two clicks in different
combos.
The best way for me was to you know,
directly go from one scratch to the next
scratch.
And so a good exercise would be like,
let's say you're,
you wanna go into a two click flare,
right?
So, I'm just gonna end.
As soon as I end my rhyme this is gonna go
right into a two play flair, right?
So for, for instance, this is my rhyme
here.
[SOUND] It's basic just letting it go,
right?
So like.
[MUSIC] See that?
Just like, right at I when, I'm the, you
know?
So.
[SOUND]
See that?
[MUSIC]
And you can even go into
like other scratch from, from that scratch
like, I like going from the.
[SOUND] From the release into not a
boomerang but a, a aquaman.
[SOUND]
That sounds like two click scratches,
a two click flair scratch.
[SOUND]
See that?
So, as soon as I, I let the record go,
it's gonna go into a boomerang.
[MUSIC]
See that.
[MUSIC]
Anyway.
So all your scratches, all your
two-clicks.
All your, all your combos, whatever.
They can all connect one way or another,
it's like you know?
They should, well I don't know any other
scratches that can't connect to another
scratch, they, they, just can't, you just
gotta kinda like sit there and
figure it out, but, but that's what I
would work on if I were you.
I would, you know, release it and come
right into click flare.
[MUSIC]
You know what I mean?
Cuz right, as soon as you go into that two
click flare,
you can just go into an orbit, or
whatever.
[MUSIC]
Also
going from a one click flare to a two
click flare.
[MUSIC]
Even just straight tears into a two click
flare.
But I think the best combo for you right
now would be.
[MUSIC]
I'll just show you what it looks like.
See as soon as, as soon as you let it go.
Where, I need a marker.
Where's a marker?
>> [INAUDIBLE].
>> We need a marker.
>> [INAUDIBLE].
>> Nah, this is a real marker, this is a
permanent marker.
Let me draw on you.
Just gonna draw my tag on you.
[SOUND]
Check it out so.
What we're gonna do is.
Just gonna show you what it looks like.
Okay let's just say you let the record go
right?
[SOUND]
Oh it's like erasing as it's drying.
Cool.
Invisible ink.
Anyway.
So.
[MUSIC]
Let's just say that's the I don't know
if you see that.
And then, on the back it just goes right
into a two click flare.
Can you see that?
Yeah, you can kinda see that.
Oh, here.
[MUSIC]
So, anyway,
so right into a two click flare.
So it's just gonna be like that, so
that's what your pretty much gonna be
practicing right there.
[MUSIC]
Right?
[MUSIC]
And you can even do it in reverse.
So you start backwards, and you go into
two-click flares.
Like I said, as soon as you get into that,
that two-click flare you can go into
orbits and all that stuff you know, so or
other, other combos, but that is a pretty
cool one.
[SOUND]
See that?
Let's now go backwards.
[MUSIC]
Anyway, you get the idea
that's a really cool scratching, people
don't expect, they kind of expect you to
just release the scratch that you come in
right away with that combo.
[SOUND]
You know what I mean?
Its just kind of like, unexpected.
All right?
[MUSIC]
