In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

All right,
we're gonna talk about baiting the
listener, all right?
So baiting the listener is pretty much,
you're gonna do a,
a kinda familiar scratch, and then right
before you get to the end,
you're gonna flip it on them, all right?
So it's like.
[MUSIC]
Like let's see.
I'm gonna do some.
[MUSIC]
See
that ending was like different where you
thought I was gonna do whatever, you know?
[MUSIC]
See that?
cause you Probably thought I was gonna do.
[SOUND]
Going through different worlds.
Something else.
And so that's what I'm talking about,
about baiting your listener.
You're kinda luring them in.
Everybody call it luring.
[MUSIC]
Huh, there's a mosquito here.
But anyway.
You get the idea?
Baiting?
Try it.
[LAUGH] He just said that I'm a master of
baiting.
[MUSIC]
I think you get the idea.
So it's all different kind of ways of
psyching your listener out, and
of course you heard of the story about the
boy that cried wolf you know.
He did it like two times then the third
time they're like he's gonna do it again,
so same concept of tricking the listener
into thinking you're going one way,
but you go a different way, and it sounds
cool like that.
And yeah,
try that out in your techniques and I'm
sure that'll be a lot of fun, all right?
