Training Dojo

In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

All right, reverse cuts.
Now I see you doing little different types
of, of backwards scratching in there and
that's dope, so keep that up.
And I just wanna point out there's all
kind of backwards scratches you can do.
Actually, every scratch that you do, that
is there,
that goes forward can go start in reverse.
And so I think that's really important
because everyone always usually starts
their, their scratches forward.
[SOUND] You know what I mean?
So, why not start all your scratches in
You know, so we used to practice that a
Like every scratch we knew started in
[SOUND] Stab.
And we see wave.
Of course, tazers.
If you ever watch Raphique
he always taught, taught me that,
the way he starts he always does his
tazers starting in reverse.
You know, what else is there?
Everything, even vibrating backwards.
Getting into
a scratch starting it that way.
Everything, pretty much.
So, even prisms.
I like starting prisms backwards.
So I just wanna point out to you,
if you're scratching you're learning all
All your scratches, definitely practice
going in reverse
the same amount of time that you practice
them going forward.
And that's gonna help you a whole lot, and
make you sound very different from all the
other DJs too.
All right?
