In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

[SOUND]
All right.
Right now we're gonna talk about three
click flares, and
what that looks like is this.
This is kind of a simple three click flare
forward [SOUND] backward.
For those of you who don't know.
Forward, backward.
Whoops, let's use this sound right here.
It's easy.
[MUSIC]
Now forward, back, all right?
And what we're gonna do is, do three
clicks.
One, yikes, one, two, three, all right?
So, you're gonna start with the fader
open, end with the fader open.
And we're gonna do.
Let's just do this first part first, all
right?
So the first part is.
Do it in slow motion.
One, two, three, four.
So that's four notes.
One, two, three, four.
All right, this is the fader clicks, of
course, for those of you who don't know.
And then we're gonna go backwards, three
clicks.
And these, this becomes another four
notes.
[SOUND] So this a total of eight notes.
One, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four all right.
Four notes on the forward, four notes on
the backward, but it's three clicks here.
[SOUND] Three clicks here.
Three click flair.
If you guys don't know what a flair is,
go check out the other videos where I talk
about how to do a flair.
Basically, if you don't know what a flair
is, it's like a transformer, but
you're starting [SOUND] The fader open.
[MUSIC]
Ending with it open.
And since it's already here, open.
It starts open, and ends open again,
right?
That's a flair.
It's like a three click flair orbit.
[MUSIC]
Anyway, it's pretty self explanatory.
Let's do it really slow.
Let's do it with the beat off, right?
So I'm gonna go forward.
[SOUND] All right four notes.
Another three clicks backward.
[SOUND] All right.
[MUSIC]
That's it, that's all it is.
[MUSIC]
And if you just wanna keep it continuous,
just keep that one, two, three, four, one,
two, three, four, one, two, three, four,
one, two, three, four but you're doing a
three clicks here.
[MUSIC]
Do it slow motion.
[MUSIC]
All right?
[MUSIC]
All right.
So, another way is when you, when you do
it really fast.
[MUSIC]
You gotta,
you can give it a little push in the
beginning and at, at the ends.
When you, every time you start to give it
an accent.
[NOISE] See that?
[NOISE]
All
right?
You can also do it.
There's different ways, you can even do,
like, a tear version of it.
So, we're gonna do, one forward, pause,
and another forward, all right?
But, we're gonna do three clicks here,
one, two, three, and
then we're gonna go again forward, and
then do another three.
All right?
So, those are two forwards, like uh-huh,
it's gonna look like this.
[SOUND] All right?
Kind of like a tear thing, all right?
Your three clicks here, see that?
[SOUND] And of course, do that same thing
on the back.
One back, pause little bit, then another
one back, and
then we can do three clicks here, three
clicks there.
So that's a total of 16 notes.
One, two, three, four, one, two, three,
four, one, two, three, four, one, two,
three, four, 4 times 4 is 16, all right?
So I'm gonna do that slow all right?
So first one.
[MUSIC]
There it goes.
[MUSIC]
Kinda confusing.
[MUSIC]
[SOUND]
All right, so that is pretty much that.
[NOISE]
All right?
So let's hear that with a beat.
[MUSIC]
All right?
So that's kinda slow beat.
[MUSIC]
Sorry.
But that time, I threw it on like a little
bit on the off beat.
[MUSIC]
