In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

alright,
we're gonna talk about a subject, scratch,
that we've already talked about before.
But we're gonna like do a recap.
But this time it's gonna be a little
different.
It's gonna be a scratch that is something
we talked about.
That is gonna go in reverse, all right?
So this scratch is I'm gonna scratch right
here.
The clover, the clover was a, I'm sorry,
clover flare the three click flare over,
over a clover.
So, a clover would be two forward, one
back.
I'm sorry two forward, two back.
I always say that two forward one back
thing.
Two forward, two back, all right?
So it goes like this.
One, two, and then two back.
Right?
Simple.
Then you put your two clicks there, one
click there one, I'm sorry three clicks.
Three clicks and you get four notes.
One, two, three, four.
All right, so.
[SOUND]
All right?
[SOUND]
All right?
So,
when you get used to it you can do the
fast one.
And so anyway, that's that.
So what we're really talking about is
we're going to do the reverse of that.
So it's gonna be opposite of that.
So we go two back, all right, and two
forward.
And the two clicks, I'm sorry three
clicks, are gonna be right there.
So that's gonna be a different sound.
[SOUND]
I'm sorry.
I'm still learning it myself.
All right, so two back, two forward.
And what you're doing is you're starting
with the fader open.
Same over here, you're starting with the
fader open, but
here also you start with the fader open
and end open.
[MUSIC]
All right,
sounds a little different than, than that
one.
Anyway, that's all I want to tell you try
that out it's really fun and yeah.
If you know how to do this then you're
going to know exactly how to do that.
[SOUND] Because all you gotta do is do it
in reverse.
So let's do it one more time real slow
just in case you guys don't got it.
All right, so fader open, remember that,
that's the first part.
And because you're gonna start backwards
you gotta kind of move the record,
you gotta be already in that position.
Like where the record has already been
forward so you can start backwards right.
So fader open, record back once.
[SOUND] Fader's off right there, then you
open it and
turn it off again when you go to the next
movement.
All right, so now I'm right here.
So now I just gotta go forward.
[SOUND] That's there.
Fader closed and then open.
[SOUND] See the fader's open all right?
Then do it again.
[SOUND]
Anyway, you get it?
All right, so yeah.
enough with that reverse clover tear,
three click flare.
That's what it is.
Or you can just say, three click clover
tear reverse.
All right, so yeah.
Check that out.
Throw that in your combos.
Sounds ill.
