In this section, you can have call and response sessions with experienced skratch djs. They'll skratch the questions, and you skratch the answers. Here, you can try to copy them or just freestyle. Try out the skratches you've learned and put them together in your own way. It's that easy!

When you get better, you can post your own call and response "sessions" for the training dojo so that others can skratch along with you too!

[MUSIC]
All right,
this scratch right here comes to us from
the scratch creator Chris Gonzalez.
What the hell is your dj name?
>> DJ Crisis.
>> DJ Crisis.
Okay, okay.
Okay, I'm not gonna make a joke out of
that.
Okay.
>> [LAUGH] Cuz that's christening.
>> Huh?
>> Cuz that's christening.
>> Okay, okay, cool, cool, cool.
[APPLAUSE] Alright, so this scratch is
called the Freddie scratch.
Why does he call it the Freddie scratch?
Because he thinks the Awe scratch.
[SOUND] Comes from Fab Five Freddie.
It does come from that Fab Five Freddie
record.
[SOUND]
The Fab Five.
[SOUND] [LAUGH] The Fab Five Freddy
record,
won't you guys say that fast ten times,
ready go.
>> [CROSSTALK].
>> Awe man, they, they, that's pretty
good, that's pretty good,
okay you got me, you got me.
All right, so I heard from DST, that he
made this scratch,
he programmed these sounds.
[SOUND] With a vocoder but anyway.
Who knows, you get in good with Santa.
So this scratch goes like this.
It's.
[MUSIC]
Six babies, one, two, three,
four, five, six.
All right, one, two, three, four, five,
six
[MUSIC]
All right, but
it's all first things a one click.
And an empty space.
Then on the back one click, one click, and
an empty.
A no clicker right there.
So it goes.
[MUSIC]
And that's the combo right there.
Zero.
[MUSIC]
Right?
Pretty easy.
Once click, [NOISE] one click, [NOISE] no
click, [NOISE] one click,
[NOISE] one click [NOISE] no click.
Right, so if you did it fast it'd be like.
[MUSIC]
Right, sounds kinda cool, I wanna practice
I don't even have it all down pact.
I wanna practice it super fast and come up
with some new patterns, but anyway,
there you have it guys, that's the Freddy
scratch, is that right?
Freddy, I thought it was the Freddy
Scratch cuz it was ten notes and you know,
Freddy has the claws.
[SOUND] Freddy Krueger, you like that one?
Whatever, so maybe it might mean both.
Anyway, have fun with that and we'll try
to make some crazy out of that.
I'm gonna try to make some combos out of
that too, a'ight?
[MUSIC]
