sometimes what happens is you have to
cross a finger underneath the thumb.
Cross the index underneath the thumb.
To play a melody correctly.
you could have the thumb on the first
string, index on the second.
Thumb on the second, index on the third,
thumb on the third, index on the fourth.
So, I have a simple little exercise here,
which will get you used to that move of
having to cross the index finger under.
And you're just gonna do a three note
sequence, you're gonna go zero to two on
the third string.
Thumb and, sorry, on the fourth string.
Thumb on the third.
Thumb, index, thumb.
Zero, two on the fourth string.
Thumb on the third open.
Three note sequence and then start again,

index so it's.
Thumb index thumb.

thumb index, thumb index,
thumb index, thumb.
let's move to the third and second
So, index, thumb, index, thumb, index, and
again you're going back and forth between
the thumb being on the third string, and
the index being on the third string.
So that would be,
And let's do the same on the first
two strings.
Zero to one on the second, thumb on the
So let's put this all together.
You don't have to do it really fast, just,
that's a nice medium, moderate tempo.
You could do it faster as you move along
just to get your chops up.
