All right.
We're gonna do Worried Man Blues up the
neck right now for a variation.
So you have two ways to play this tune.
And what you're going to do is do the
simple roll, and
it works through the whole tune.
If you're just starting to think about
playing up the neck,
this is a really great way to start.
And the roll is this.
Index on the second, middle on the first,
and then a forward roll, five two one and
then another five two one.
You can start with the thumb on the second
string if you'd like.
then bring the thumb back to the fifth
string each time.
Or simply start with the index.
It's a little stronger with the thumb but
either way.
That works for you.
And you're just stacking a bunch of these,
the two notes and the two forward rolls.
Two notes and the two forward rolls.
So moving this up the neck,
all you have to do is play the melody on
the seconds string.
I like, I like the idea of having the
first string as a drone.
So by having the melody on the second
string you achieve that.
starting at the middle on the third fret
of the second string.
Up to the fifth fret,
up to the eighth fret, 12th.
I'm sorry, tenth and then 12th.
Back to tenth, eighth.
And then, fifth fret.
Seventh fret.
So up the tempo is.
All right.
that's a nice way just getting the melody
all on the second string.
All right, thanks folks.
Enjoy Worried Man Blues up the neck.
