Can You Play “Far, Far Away?”  by Marcus D

It’s time for a reality check.  I didn’t grow up with a guitar in my hand.  I’m not one of those people who is fortunate enough to see the guitar as another limb, a natural extension of my body that will obey my every thought and sing out my ideas as easily as if I were tying my shoe.  Right here, right now, I’m going to make the confession that terrifies guitar players everywhere: this thing doesn’t come easy to me.

One of Martin's student sent us this nice testimonial speaking on Martin's fingerstyle guitar lessons. He talks about some important concepts he's taken away from Martin's online guitar lessons, and extends his personal thanks for making this available to students throughout the world.

"It's really the best format I've run across…anywhere. It's the next best thing as sitting in the same room with [Martin]." - Kent Gunderson

Andy Hall took a little time out recently from touring and teaching at his ArtistWorks Online Dobro School to record a quick and easy version of the Holiday classic Winter Wonderland.

Andy recorded this Dobro lesson from his ArtistWorks Studio where he watches videos his students send to him and records his video responses.

Andy plays the tune in the key of G, the most common open tuning for bluegrass Dobro and uses some of the techniques he teaches in the beginner section of his lessons.  From sliding up to notes, to double stops and single note steel angling, Andy covers everything from the basics all the way up to advanced playing in his online Dobro lessons.

And the cool thing is that players can watch the lessons, submit practice videos and get video responses with feedback from Andy.
