We've just added the inteview Mike did with Edgar Meyer backstage at RockyGrass 2016. This was filmed on the afternoon of the day after Edgar's headlining set with Sam Bush and Jerry Douglas. Musical topics discussed include practice technique and discipline, solo vs. ensemble playing and writing, early and current sources of musical inspiration, and what it's been like performing and writing music with Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and other greats.

A new 7 part interview is available from Rockygrass 2016, filmed in the ArtistWorks RV backstage at RockyGrass 2016 with Michael Daves and Tim O'Brien. In this series Michael and Tim discuss musical and singing topics and sing duet performances of "Down in the Willow Garden" and "I'm Blue, I'm Lonesome." The latter also appears as a lesson in the curriculum if you'd like to learn that song and all its parts. In their performance they switch high and low parts mid way to show the contrast of vocal tones. Tim also does a solo performance of "Another Day" accompanying himself on mandolin.

We're kicking off the release of all of our fantastic RockyGrass 2016 footage with this amazing interview Mike did with Sam Bush in the ArtistWorks Remote Studio (aka the RV). There are 3 parts in total, just shy of 30 minutes long. It goes without saying (but certainly worth noting), Sam Bush is a Bluegrass legend and a personal mandolin hero to Mike Marshall. They talk about all sorts of topics and stories in the interview including Sam's history playing percussion in relation to his famous chop, how he got into playing mandolin, early influences and much more!
