I have just published Two New J.S. Bach Books to correspond to my recent CD with Caterina Lichtenberg. We published both a Notation book and a Tablature Book.

Each book has a version for Mandolin and Mandocello (treble and bass clefs) as well as a version for Two Mandolins (two treble clefs).

acoustic music seminar finale

Since 2010, ArtistWorks mandolin instructor Mike Marshall has directed the Acoustic Music Seminar program at the Savannah Music Festival. Each year young talented string players audition to play in the enemble-focused educational program. It's a great opportunity for these young students to work with seasoned musicians and gain experience playing on stage. Check out the performance video from the finale concert, these kids have some serious chops!

The 2015 Mandolin Symposium takes place this year June 22-26 at the beautiful University of California Santa Cruz campus. For last minute Registration call Stephen Ruffo at 350-531-1240.  

This year the Mandolin Symposium will have two public performances (tickets available online): 

On Wednesday, June 24 at 8:00 pm David Grisman and Mike Marshall present a Mandolin Extravaganza which is sure to delight. Then on Friday, June 26 at 8:00 pm there will be a performance of the Instructors and Students of the Symposium (including the Symposium Ensembles and the Mandolin Symposium Orchestra).

Caterina and I are very excited about our new CD of duets for Mandolin and Mandocello. 

We recorded the Fifteen Two Part Inventions, Four Organ duets and Three Canons from his "Art of the Fugue." What a joy to finally have this recording out and available.
