Hey all,

Another month has started, I personally really enjoy this time of year. Happy to announce that I have co-written the new A-side single "MINT" by the legendary Japanese artist Namie Amuro. I also co-produced this one together with my friend Maria Marcus. The track has a lot of cool 1960's inspired guitars with a surf guitar-twang and sound inspired by Dick Dale and other greats from that era.

The song was the most downloaded song in Japan during it's first week, staying on the top spot of Japanese itunes for 7 days straight. After almost three weeks, it's still at Nr 2. The song has also been used as the theme song of a popular Japanese Tv-drama called Boku No Yabai Tsuma. Check out the music video below, really cool choreography featuring Amuro and her 40 back up dancers :)

On the physical release of this song, I also co-wrote and co-produced the B-side called "Chit Chat" with Emyli & Maria Marcus.

"Making the soundtrack of other peoples lives" has always been one of the goals of my songwriting. The other day at Tokyo Dome Arena, I felt that happening...SHINee performed 6 of my songs in front of 55 000 people, singing and dancing along to the music. The songs were: Breaking News, Wishful Thinking, Sweet Surprise, LookBook, Downtown Baby & Sing your song. This was a truly amazing experience that I won't forget and I feel very thankful for moments like this. Thx SHINee, SM Japan and SoundGraphics for an unforgetable evening!

Hey all,

Happy to have co-written the new Red Velvet-single "One of these nights" together with Maria Marcus and Chanhee Hwang. The video has so far had more than 2 million You Tube views in just 48 hours after the release!

The song is also included on the mini album "The Velvet", in four different versions: original version, piano version and 2 re-mixes. The album is currently Nr 1 on the daily Korean physical album chart and digitally made it to Nr 1 on Itunes in Singapore and Thailand.

The song is a rnb-style ballad with quite a few interesting transitions harmony wise, espacially going from the pre-chorus to the chorus. We wrote this @ SM Entertainment Studios in Seoul during July 2015.

I really like the cool visuals in this video, as the lyrics describes two lovers being far away from each other...not knowing when they'll meet next time.

I hope u'll like this song!

Hey,

Hoping u all have had a nice start of the new year! Once again a warm welcome to all the new students. My year started off nicely with 3 songs placed on the new SHINee album in Japan (Wishful Thinking, Sweet Surprise & Sing your Song) which did Nr 1 over there on the weekly chart. On the first two songs I also play quite a lot of guitar including jazzy solos :)

Currently I'm up in Aspen, Colorado doing a "GUITAR SUMMIT-Trio Concert " together with my friends Kruno Spisic and Ted Gottsegen. We'll be performing 2 shows tonight and tomorrow night. This is one of a few selected performances I will do this year, will be a lot of fun!

So check it out if u're nearby, it will be a mix of standards, django-songs and some of my own pop compositions.

Here's a quick interview the Aspen Times did with me over the phone the other day:
