Happy New Year everyone! We hope you’re feeling refreshed and ready for 2017 -- it’s going to be a great year! In this video ArtistWorks Co-Founder and CEO Patricia Butler reflects on the past year and what's coming soon. She also gives you a tour of our Napa, CA facilities and introduces our ArtistWorks team. We're always working to improve your experience, and hope you enjoy getting to know us a bit better.
Hello out there! In the spirit of the new year, we have a great way to get 2017 started off right: playing more music. To keep you focused on the path to progression, there’s a new section to look out for in the Learning Channel. We’re calling it the 30 Day Challenge. Here’s how it works:
Anyone who participates will get the official 30 Day Challenger badge upon submission of your second video and it'll be a great reminder for the rest of the year to keep up with your playing. Remember, anyone who practices daily is always a winner around here.
Are you in? Let the 30 Day Challenge begin!
Country music is all about creating compositions and lyrics that touch the soul. It draws sounds from many sources, especially the strong, rich vibrato notes produced by guitar slides. This useful technique makes altering pitches an easier task than pressing the strings against the frets of the guitar.
Hey all,
It's Sunday, Jan 15th and I'm writing from Bend, Oregon, where there's a ton (literally) of snow on the ground. We have one more show tonight in Portland then flying back home on Monday.
I'll start catching up on VEs I wasn't able to get to on the road on Tuesday. Looking forward to being home!
It's been great to see so many ArtistWorks folks out on the trail.
thanks
Bryan
NAMM, Anaheim, California - Orange Amplification are now commercially manufacturing the valve preamp that Dennis Marshall and I have been working on together for the past 3 years and it's awesome!
Many thanks to the genius of Dennis Marshall and to Cliff Cooper, Orange Founder & CEO for making this happen.
Here's Cliff and me having a good laugh as I plug into a wall of Orange amps and launch into a Jazz Bossa Nova Version of Stairway To Heaven.
Country music has given the world some of the greatest solos of all time that still retain their evergreen quality. Let's take a look at some awesome country guitar solos, starting with one from over 50 years ago.
Hey Folks!
We've finally been able to put together the closest thing you'll get to an Artistworks String Music Camp this coming summer; It'll happen the week of May 29-June 2. It's the New Acoustic Masters music camp in New York, at the amazing Full Moon Resort located in the heart of the Catskill Forest Preserve. We'll have Darol Anger teaching fiddle, Tony Trischka teaching banjo, Matt Flinner on mandolin and Chris Eldridge on guitar; all masters of their instruments and master teachers. Check this out!
