Mike Marshall dropped by the ArtistWorks studio recently while Andy Hall was recording some more Dobro lessons. They were having a ball together discussing music and playing some tunes, and we wanted to let you all in on the fun.  Because they're not quite lessons in the sense that they're teaching you how to play the tunes, we put them in the +Music section. AW: How long have you been playing Dobro?

Andy:  I started playing Dobro in 1994. I started as a guitar player and actually got tendinitis from practicing guitar, and so when I was about 19 years old I had to switch to Dobro. So it's almost been 20 years now.

AW: How long have you been teaching people how to play Dobro?

Andy: You know, I did my first instructional video probably a year after I got my first Dobro, which  shows there was sort of a lack of instructional material out there for Dobro players.  So I've been teaching almost since I started playing.
