It's no surprise that there are benefits of learning music for adults as well as children. A new article from the New York Times points to new research that shows how taking music lessons at an early age can lead to long lasting changes in the brain.

Not sure where to start? Piano lessons are great because they form a solid musical foundation which will give them an advantage when learning other instruments.

The moral of this story is that we should encourage all kids to learn an instrument and take music lessons, the benefits they'll gain are incredibly valueable. And who knows, they may just be the next Mozart.
