Being one of Tony's students, by now you've experienced how learning to play banjo is one of the most satisfying escapes out there. There’s just no better feeling than spending an hour or two learning a new song and slowly watching your playing improve over time. “You can forget your daily toils and just get lost in the music,” Tony says. “It’s almost like a Zen thing.” 

Plus, the banjo community is incredibly close-knit. “So many of my closest friends I’ve met through music,” he says. We hope you've made some connections through your own banjo playing, too.
