About the educator
Mike Block
A pioneering multi-style cellist and composer, he's a Juilliard graduate and former member of Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble. The first standing cellist to perform at Carnegie Hall, he has collaborated with artists including Stevie Wonder, Alison Krauss, and Yo-Yo Ma.
