Hi jonathangreif ! Jason Vieaux will respond to the video exchanges too sometimes their will be a different teacher if he has a busy schedule so that they will still get feedback provided! You can record your videos from a camera, laptop or even a phone device then upload your video to the site for review. Please contact Customer Support if you have any further questions and we are happy to assist in more detail.

Most of the video exchanges I am seeing are done by a teacher other than Jason Vieaux. Does he respond to any videos or is it always another teacher? And, who is the other teacher?

How do most people record their videos for submission. I assumed there was some sort of platform on the website to record via a laptop, etc. But I don't see anything like that.

jonathangreif: I wasn't able to locate it, but I found Classical Guitar Corner to have a good lesson on the concept in their Free Lessons area.

In the first Giuliani study lesson, Jason mentions another lesson that specifically covers the sweep stroke and sequential free stroke, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what lesson it is?

Hello Jason. When you perform pieces in the lessons that music is not provided for, I would love it if you would at least tell us whose transcription you are playing so we can get it if we like. You Scarlatti in A, for instance.

Hi Mark, yes just submit a video for one of the pieces and go from there. If the piece isn't in the AW curriculum submit it under 'Misc'.

I want to and abrsm grade 4 and work my way up. Is it possible to receive help from Jason?

Just saw this great video of two oboe players having so much fun with classical music, and wanted to share it!

Hi Jason, any chance you could post your arrangement of Pat Metheny's Letter From Home?

Arnold and Bream; great composer and a great player! Thanks for sharing it Mitch.

Here's alink to Julian Bream playing 3rd Mvt of Macolm Arnold's guitar concerto conducted by Sir Malcom Arnold.

thanks Abianledez
it is like you said it just worked on its own.
thanks again

hi Ahmed, I also had the same problem some time ago on two occasions, try to solve it with the suggestions of the support team, but none of them worked, the videos in the same format, not very long, change the browser to chrome, and Finally the problem seems to have disappeared by itself. Maybe if you try to send your videos from another computer, instead of from a mobile device, this can help. Greetings.

Something is wrong with my video exchange page. I have tried the methods mentioned below and I am not getting the same results. I also went into the intermediate lessons and opened up the misc video exchanges. It states there are 583 videos, however, only 5 come up. Anybody else run into this issue?

Hi, I am getting the message "unknown error" when I try to upload my video any ideas why is that happening, the file is the same format as before mp4 and not too large. any suggestions

Hi Darrell276- I went to the "video exchanges" page, kept scrolling down for several minutes to continue to load videos (there are a LOT), and just entered "brou" in the search box at the top right of the video exchange page and was able to pull up 9 videos of Brouwer pieces, and I didn't even have all the exchanges loaded. It seems to only search to the bottom of the list I have loaded, not through the entire video collection. So, you have to continue to scroll to the bottom in order to load enough of them to begin finding the pieces you want.

Don: Thank you for the suggestion. I emailed artist works customer service and they did not give me any explanation like this. Unfortunately I tried what you wrote below and it is not working for me. There is no Brouwer and only one Tarrega. I used my browser search function as you stated below.

Hi everyone i'm new any pointers

Darrell: The search function doesn't work too well on the Video Exchange Archive page. Searching for "Brouwer" shows only 2 videos on the top. Instead, try going to the bottom of the page until all videos are loaded (keep ctrl-end key down until no more items are added to the bottom). Then, search the page with the browser search function (ctrl-F). I see 9 video exchanges for Brouwer that way. There is a large amount of content here - about 2,726 video exchanges total.

Hello Everyone! Are there any miscellaneous video exchanges for Brouwer or Tarrega, besides the prelude #5? I am surprised at the small amount of content and not sure if I am searching correctly.

I have a yeti. It works great for guitar, cello, and voice. The yeti people are easy to deal with, and they replaced mine free of charge when it stopped working properly. I would highly recommend it.

Hi everyone! Complete this survey for ArtistWorks & have your voice heard:

....the Yeti certainly has great reviews on Amazon.

Thanks very much Allan. I will check this out, I have now also come across the Yeti which may be OK???

News just in: Leo Brouwer will be coming to the 2018 GFA convention in Louisville, Kentucky in June to accept the GFA Hall of Fame Artistic Achievement Award and to give a masterclass.

Phil N is absolutely video compares to a live JV performance. The videos are good, but a very pale version of the live performance. The first time I heard JV live, I was stunned.

Videos of Jason’s solo performances are no comparison to the extraordinary experience of attending his live performance. I’ve seen Jason perform twice in a small venue in Beacon NY. The skill, the sound and the emotion he brings to the stage is nothing less that astonishing. If you have the chance to attend one of Jason’s live solo concerts, book your ticket early. He is not to be missed!

Peter Erskine, our Jazz Drums instructor, is live on Facebook now:
