I found Colin's video in response to my own first video very constructive. Thank you.

capricho arab fingerings anyone?

Hey everyone! Question... what is your favorite lesson and why?

Just listened to Jason Guitar Concerto by Jonathan Leshnoff. Wow! I see another Grammy in Jason’s future

Jason's recording of Jonathan Leshnoff's Guitar Concerto now available on Spotify.

Tom Lubensky Saw Jason and Ann Akiko Myers performing for the National Academy of Sciences annual meeting before a 500+ audience. Spectacular concert with standing ovations. Many comments to me the next day from scientist colleagues and spouses about the superb performance. Several who had not heard classical guitar before expressed curiosity about the instrument and surprise at the versatility Jason demonstrated with the instrument. Bravo, Jason. I was proud to say I knew you.

I really like Colin's video responses. They are always clear, well thought out, and pedagogically insightful. Is there any chance that Colin can add some of his instruction to the pre-recorded lesson packages? I think it would be a wonderful addition to the excellent work already done by Jason.

May 2nd. Naxos records. Leshnoff Concerto. Nashville Sym and Giancarlo Guerrero. JV on the git-box.

Videos in !!

Getting to those URGENT level videos tonight, finally!! Sorry for the delays... Colin and I have been running around playing concerts... May should be quite a bit better for response time. Jason

Just saw Jason perform with Ann Akiko Myers in Ridgewood NJ. Sensational!

Outstanding performance tonight by Jason with Anne Akiko Meyers on violin at the Green Center in Sonoma !!! Wow!

Hey everyone! Just a note to invite you to join Jason and I this June in Cleveland, where we'll be among the performers and teachers at the Cleveland International Classical Guitar Festival. June 6-9, 2019. More info here:

Great classical guitar concerts coming up, all within the next 4 weeks in Louisville, Kentucky: Gohar Vardanyan, Lily Afshar, Kupinski Guitar Duo, Matt Palmer.

Segovia talks about and plays a few slur, scale, and arpeggio exercises:

I was looking at the forms and noticed that there are a large number of questions in the 'Ask Your Teacher' section that have not been responded to - 15 out of the first 30 requests. Perhaps this should be looked at.

Jason references a video devoted specifically to bass damping, but I can't find it. Does anyone know where that video is?

will there be a certificate program for the classical guitar?

can I upload a song not in the curriculum or 30 day challenge?

Where can I find the Tarrega study exercises Jason References?

Merry Christmas with Silent Night. Check this out

Hi jonathangreif, the turnaround time for videos will depend on the teacher's schedule and how busy they are with tours, recording, and personal commitments. These factors make a difference in addition to how many videos the teacher has to review. I would say the average time for a video response ranges from 1-2 weeks but it can vary from time to time. In the meantime, hopefully you can continue to work on your skills and learn from the other Video Exchanges on the sites.

Jason/Colin—. How about performing a duet together for us students for the holidays

@Jonathan: The other teacher is Colin Davin. :-)

How long does it usually take for the teacher to respond to a video exchange?

Hi jonathangreif ! Jason Vieaux will respond to the video exchanges too sometimes their will be a different teacher if he has a busy schedule so that they will still get feedback provided! You can record your videos from a camera, laptop or even a phone device then upload your video to the site for review. Please contact Customer Support if you have any further questions and we are happy to assist in more detail.

Most of the video exchanges I am seeing are done by a teacher other than Jason Vieaux. Does he respond to any videos or is it always another teacher? And, who is the other teacher?

How do most people record their videos for submission. I assumed there was some sort of platform on the website to record via a laptop, etc. But I don't see anything like that.

jonathangreif: I wasn't able to locate it, but I found Classical Guitar Corner to have a good lesson on the concept in their Free Lessons area.

In the first Giuliani study lesson, Jason mentions another lesson that specifically covers the sweep stroke and sequential free stroke, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what lesson it is?

Hello Jason. When you perform pieces in the lessons that music is not provided for, I would love it if you would at least tell us whose transcription you are playing so we can get it if we like. You Scarlatti in A, for instance.

Hi Mark, yes just submit a video for one of the pieces and go from there. If the piece isn't in the AW curriculum submit it under 'Misc'.

I want to and abrsm grade 4 and work my way up. Is it possible to receive help from Jason?

Just saw this great video of two oboe players having so much fun with classical music, and wanted to share it!

Hi Jason, any chance you could post your arrangement of Pat Metheny's Letter From Home?

Arnold and Bream; great composer and a great player! Thanks for sharing it Mitch.

Here's alink to Julian Bream playing 3rd Mvt of Macolm Arnold's guitar concerto conducted by Sir Malcom Arnold.

From 1963

Hi Colin, thank you for the great feedback and direction.
